Latinos Won Absolutely Nada At Last Night's Oscars

Did you watch last night's Oscars? I didn't. In fact, I haven't watched them in years. Oh and I didn't watch the recent Grammy Awards either. Sorry, just I think awards shows are too self-congratulatory and biased. Actually, I can look past the smugness of awards shows but never past their blatantly obvious self-serving interests:

"A Los Angeles Times study found that academy voters are markedly less diverse than the moviegoing public, and even more monolithic than many in the film industry may suspect. Oscar voters are nearly 94% Caucasian and 77% male, The Times found. Blacks are about 2% of the academy, and Latinos are less than 2%."

Given these numbers, is it any surprise that Latinos won absolutely nothing at last night's Academy Awards? Yeah... I'll stick to watching Premios Lo Nuestro because at least they know they're a joke.
